about dr. tanita maddox

headshot

Working in youth ministry with Young Life since 1998,  Tanita has lived the shift in adolescent culture with the arrival of Generation Z. She is constantly asking, "What is Good News to kids today?"  After completing her doctoral thesis in contextualizing the gospel for Gen Z, she is now sharing what she has learned, experienced, and created with Young Life Areas and Regions, Youth Ministries, and Churches.

Tanita has a unique insight and understanding of Gen Z that has served parents, employers, and educators in their understanding of the next generation. Adults feel more confident in their understanding and interactions with Gen Z as a result of what Tanita shares with them.

Tanita works as the Associate Director of Young Life Western Mountain Region and lives in Spokane, Washington with her husband and children.
